“ACUTE & CHRONIC PAIN  OF WRIST”

• STRENGTHENING EXERCISES OF WRIST:Hands in warm water-squeeze cloth/sponge.
• Crumple paper.
• Tear paper of different thicknesses.
• Use an elastic band to resist individual finger movement.
• Lift and carry objects of different weights.

HOMEOPATHY:

• Gouty deposits in wrists, fingers and toes-uric acid diathesis- the main symptom is:
• High odour in urine. Benzoic acid 3x twenty drops in a glass of water. Teaspoonfuls once in two hours.
• Pain, swelling, stiffness of carpel or metacarpal joints: Caulophyllum 30 two drops once for three days.
• Excessive sweating from  palm and all parts of body. Pilocarpine 3x two grains thrice a day.
• Prickling and numbness of the fingers are the warning symptom of paralysis. Kali phos 3x- ten grains in a cup of hot water, two teaspoonfuls once in two hours.
• Edema, numbness of the left hand and foot. Cactus tincture fifteen drops in a glass of water, two teaspoonfuls once in two hours.
• Writer's cramp: Magnesia phos 3x:  ten grains in glass of hot water, two teaspoonfuls once in an hour.
• ‘Fidgety hands’ can't keep them still Kali Brom 3x.
• Cracking of joints Natrum phos 3x: three globules four times a day.
• Caries of bones or calcaneal spur Calcarea Fluoride 6x:.  three tablets thrice a day. 
• Rheumatism of wrist joints (swollen, red, stiff, untouched) Actea spicata tincture: five drops in hot water every hourly up to relieve.
• Ganglion of wrist- Ruta 30 and Calcarea fluoride.
• Cut of fingers  by sting(kite), Staphysagria 30.

CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME WITH  TREATMENT:

It is the compression of the median nerve as it passes into the hand. It supplies the impulse to the muscle going to the thumb. It can occur in one or both hands in which thumb, index finger and part of the ring finger involves. Swelling inside the thumb due to obstructed blood flow. Numbness, weakness, burning, tingling caused by Diabetes,  thyroid, fluid retention, high blood pressure, Arthritis or ganglion on wrist.

Causticum, Hypericum, Kali phos and mixture of Arnica, Ruta and Bellissimo per works well in 30 potency.

ULNAR NERVE SYNDROME WITH TREATMENT

Weakness, tingling, numbness or pain happen due to compression of ulnar nerve caused by cyst, repeated strain, ganglion on wrist or tumour in the wrist tissue.

Rhus -tox, Ruta and Calcarea fluoride works well.
