CHOLESTEROL DETOXIFICATION IS ESSENTIAL FOR GOOD HEALTH

"How to detox increased Cholesterol level in blood stream  for good health"

What is Cholesterol?

Cholesterol is a chemical compound that the body requires as a building block for cell membranes and for hormones like estrogen and testosterone. The liver produces about 80% of the body's cholesterol and the rest comes from dietary sources like meat, poultry, eggs, fish, and dairy products. Foods derived from plants contain no cholesterol.

Cholesterol content in the bloodstream is regulated by the liver. After a meal, cholesterol in the diet is absorbed from the small intestine and metabolized and stored in the liver. As the body requires cholesterol, it may be secreted by the liver. When too much cholesterol is present in the body, it can build up in deposits called plaque along the inside walls of arteries, causing them to narrow.

What is the difference between “good” cholesterol and “bad” cholesterol?

Good cholesterol is known as high-density lipoprotein (HDL). It removes cholesterol from the bloodstream. Low-density lipoprotein (LDL) is the “bad” cholesterol.

If your total cholesterol level is high because of a high LDL level, you may be at higher risk of heart disease or stroke. But, if your total cholesterol level is high only because of a high HDL level, you’re probably not at higher risk.

Triglycerides are another type of fat in your blood. When you eat more calories than your body can use, it turns the extra calories into triglyceride.

What are the healthy levels of cholesterol ?

  • Total cholesterol level – less than 200 is best, but it depends on your HDL and LDL levels.

  • LDL cholesterol levels – less than 130 is best, but this depends on your risk for heart disease.

  • HDL cholesterol levels – 60 or higher reduces your risk for heart disease.

  • Triglycerides – less than 150 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dl) is best.

Blood tests are required to measure total cholesterol and lipoproteins. For a complete lipoprotein analysis, the patient should be fasting for at least 12 hours.

What are the signs and symptoms of high cholesterol?

High cholesterol has no symptoms. A blood test is the only way to detect. But there are few indication as:

  1. Soft, yellowish growths or lesions on the skin called xanthomas may indicate a genetic predisposition to cholesterol problems. White spots or pimples like formation under the  eyes,  sometimes lots of tags and warts are also it's indication.

  2. Many people who are obese or have diabetes also have high cholesterol.

  3. In men, impotence may be caused by arteries affected by excessive blood cholesterol.

  4. Bad digestion as lots of bloating, gas formation are indications of LDL increasing and HDL decreasing.

  5. Breathing problems in a few steps of walking or heart palpitation.

  6. Every time tiredness or no energy means the body is not using vitamins and minerals properly.

  9. Headache  everytime.

  10. Weight gain.

What are the causes of it?

When the essence of   food is being vitiated by ‘Tridosha’ disturbed three humours-- wind, bile and phlegm, enters into the heart and hinders its normal functions, the result is Heart disease. Besides these there are many other reasons for bad  cholesterol such as over eating, hard labour, heavy exercises, constipation, acidity, excessive wind, fatness, asthma etc.

Plaques  that are made up of cholesterol, calcium, fat  and other substances - built up in arterial walls - are called Atherosclerosis. It is generally caused when    arterial         wall endothelium is damaged. Now the artery becomes hard and narrow and if it is not checked - flow of blood diminishes and becomes the main cause of heart attack, stroke or cardiovascular diseases.

Coronary thrombosis is the formation of a blood clot inside a blood vessel of ❤️ as the level of cholesterol (LDL) increases day by day. Heart attack with pain in chest and arms with huge amounts of perspiration.

Degenerative heart diseases  in mid and old age are due to gradual decay of blood vessels mainly by smoking or tobacco in any form and  Hypertensive heart disease  is caused mainly by long standing high blood pressure, which overstrain the heart muscle and circulatory system. Sometimes the supply of blood becomes so weak that a part of the body is paralyzed.
