CHILDREN DISEASES & TREATMENT

1.       INFANTILE LIVER

At the time of birth the liver of the baby extends by a few inches in the abdomen and during the first two months it reduces to its normal size below the ribs. But sometime this process is retarded and liver remains enlarged in the abdomen. The baby gets indigestion and diarrhoea; jaundice sets in and water accumulates in the abdomen. There is oedematous swelling of face, hands and feet.

Treatment:

·       Calcarea ars 3x: Head remedy.

·       Chamomila 6: If jaundice sets in the first week itself of birth.

·       Calcarea carb 6: If child's head is large, sweat on head, abdomen bloated, whitish stool, diarrhoea etc.

·       Merc sol 6: When eyes are yellow.

·       Nitric acid 6: When ulcer in the mouth.

·       Kalmeg tincture: It should be used twice a day as one or two drops.

·       Chelidonium tincture: When eyes are yellow and stools white.

·       Cardus tincture: in chronic cases.

Note: Press the right side of palm below little finger for 1 to 2 minutes to increase the immunity power of liver.

2.        DISEASES OF NAVEL

After birth sometime the lever is swollen and painful and sometime pus is formed.

Treatment:

·       Calendula tincture: wash through it and apply on navel.

·       Silicea 30: should be given if there is pus.

·       Belladona 6: 4 simple swelling with redness and pain.

·       Arsenic album 6: in case of offensive pus.

                                       

3.        PROLAPSED ANI

At the time of passing stool a portion of the rectum comes out of the anus.

Treatment:

·       Podophyllum 30: It is the head remedy.

·       Ruta 30: if rectum comes out and doesn't go inside for a long period.

                                                                       

4.        OPEN FONTENELLES

Sometime there are two triangular portions near forehead and other in same line is not hardened. It is within 3 to 4 months, the bones are formed and it becomes hard. But sometime this process is delayed and is harmful.

Treatment:

·       Sulpher 30: once a week will do.

·       Calcarea carb 30: If sulphur fails, it should be given once a week for a few weeks.

·        Calcarea phos and Silicea are also needed sometime.

                                     

5.        ULCER IN THE MOUTH

Treatment

·       Borax 3x trituration: It is the best remedy in white ulcer of a child.

6.        LICE IN THE HEAD

Treatment

·       Sabidilla tincture:Its lotion should be used to wash the head.

·       Natrum mur 12x and Staphysaria should be used internally.

                                 

7.        HYDROCEPHALUS

Head becomes large due to collection of fluid.

Treatment

·       Sulphur, calcarea and Silicea should be used according to symptom.

                                     

8.        DENTITION

During dentition one or other problem comes to a child

Treatment

·       Calcarea phos 6x: dentition will be easy if two to three grains of this medicine are given daily to a child after 4 to 5 months.

·       Ferrum phos 6x: One globule thrice a day in fever and cold.

·       Chamomile 6: whatever the cause give one Global thrice a day at the green or watery stool or crying a child; at the time of dentition.

                                   

9.        ENSURESIS

Involuntary urination during sleep

Treatment

·       Causticum 500: only one dose clear the disease otherwise another dose after a month.

·       Teucrium 200: bedwetting due to worms should be used twice a week and-

·       Natrum phos 6x: should be used twice a day with teucrium, in case of worms.

·       Cina 30: Once a day, when the child does not awaken even after passing urine and has worms.

Note: Water should be restricted after evening. The child should be taken to the toilet at least once during night. One teaspoon honey may be given at early morning and free salt should be restricted.

10.   MARASMUS

In this child becomes very thin. He or she loses flash, eat much but the food is not assimilated. Only abdomen is enlarged and hands, feet becomes thin.

Treatment

·       Sulphur 30: Treatment should be started with this remedy.

·       After few days

·       Calcarea phos 6x:  For thin child.

·       Calcarea carb 6: For fairy, flabby and fatty child.

·       Iodium 6: in case of heavy appetite of a child.

·       Abrotanum 6: is the chief remedy of marasmus.

11.   Weeping

When the child weeps without any apparent cause

Treatment:

·       Chamomila 6: two globuals thrice or  two hourly up to relieve and apply few drops of castor oil on navel - flatus will passed out.

                               

12.   UNDER DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN

Treatment:

·       Calcarea Phos 6x: Should be used for a long period.

    

13.   ANAEMIA IN CHILDREN

Treatment:

·  Ferrum met 3x and Calcarea Phos 3X: 3 globules twice a day alternatively.

                                       

14.   ASTHMA

Treatment:

·       Bryonia 6  & Antim Tart 6: alternatively in every 2 hour.
