AYURVEDA CONTROLS KAPHA PITTA VATTA

Conventional medicine is flourished in India within the reign of English. Our sculpture as veda- purana all had lost their identity at that time. Charaka Samhita of Charak Muni, Ashtanga hridaya  and Ashtanga sangraha of Maharishi Vagbhata were the three most prominent ancient texts on Ayurveda based on Vata-pitta-kapha. Vata governs our nervous system, pitta governs digestive system and kapha governs body fluid and movement. The diagnosis was based on only examining the 'Nadi’ of a patient. Disturbance among air, water, fire, earth or space will give birth to disease. If a single element will be disturbed; all the elements will be imbalanced and disease will attack.


1) Air/Vata prakriti
Air controls respiration,  blood circulation, movement to bile and phlegm or each and every part of our body. Sixty percent of diseases are caused by  excessiveness of air in the body.. They talks too much, sleep too much, eat fried or oily food, too much gas problem and joint pain.  They can't do a single work upto finish. There nature is to ‘all time change the work’. They should avoid constipation and mid-day sleeping. Exercises, yoga asanas,  pranayama, vayu mudra controls air/vata. Try to control on fried food intake. Most of the old age people gets joint pain due to this reason. Oil massage (sesame or mustard) is a good remedy for these people.

2)Pitta prakriti:
It is a combination of excess of fire with air. Which gives  excess heat under body and give birth to acidity, burning sensation, skin disease(due to dryness), irritability, poor digestion, diabetes, gall bladder stone, hair fall, anxiety, depression, timidity, fear etc. All problems are related to pancreas and adrenal gland. They should control on anxiety, worries, habit of eating spicy food, antibiotics and  too much work on sun exposure. More and more fruits, Vegetables, green juices, moon pranayama, apana mudra and pure ghee is good for them. They should drop one or two drops of pure ghee within nostrils at bedtime.

3)Kapha prakriti:
It is a combination of earth and water where mud forms. Generally these type of people becomes calm and quiet. They eats and drink sweet foods; if properly digested will increases vigour, lubricants and happiness. For this fire element or good metabolism required. But due to lack of exercise, overeating, eating between meals will produce indigestion and  will create cold, cough, bronchitis, asthma, menstrual problem, increase in fat, dullness, heaviness and arthritis in later stage.

          So they should control on their wrong eating habits, cold drinks, cold foods, milk etc. Honey is very beneficial for them.
